LANCASTER, Pa. -The 30th-ranked Haverford College men's squash team (4-6), was upended by No. 13 Chatham by a final score of 8-1, in neutral site action on Friday night at the Mayser Center on the Franklin & Marshall campus.

Chatham (6-2), a relative upstart in the College Squash Association, has sprinted up the rankings in its fourth season as a varsity program and looked to be in a solid position on Friday despite only dressing eight players. Haverford picked up the win at the ninth spot on the ladder by default.

The Cougars, out of Pittsburgh, were challenged by the Fords at the fifth spot on the ladder, as Minor Reedich made the most of an opportunity against his opponent Mohamed Sadek, taking the Chatham player to the brink in a thrilling 16-14 extra points loss. John Collins also tested Haidar Jeffrey at the sixth flight in the third game, while Noah Tunis took Owais Rasheed to the brink in his third game at the third flight, in what registered as another signature battle for the first year player.

The Fords next return home to wrap up the month on January 29 with home contests against No. 36 Georgetown (10:30 a.m.) and No. 37 Vassar (3:30 p.m.) at the GIAC Squash Courts. The contests will be Haverford's first competitive action at home since November 19.
