2022 CSA Team Championships Central

Conroy Cup Bracket and Draws

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's squash team (5-8) will open up the 2022 CSA Men's Team Championships on Friday afternoon, beginning the quest for a Conroy Cup title at Philadelphia's Arlen Specter US Squash Center.

The championships, which open in earnest on Friday, February 18, will continue through Sunday, February 20 at two sites in Philadelphia, the main competition site at Penn's Squash Center and a satellite location at the nearby state of the art Specter Center adjacent to the campus of Drexel University.  In total, 33 varsity teams will compete across four divisions: Potter Division (teams ranked No. 1-8)—which determines the team national champion, Hoehn Division (9-16), Summers Division (17-24), and Conroy Division (25-33).

The Conroy Cup will be contested by nine teams in the tournament, which will be split initially into three groups of three teams each. The top seeds in the groups are Colby, Hobart, and Hamilton, who will compete to maintain their positions and vie for the Conroy crown in another three-team round robin over Saturday and Sunday. The groups' two-seeds are Wesleyan, Haverford, and Conn College who will look for the upset to secure a place in the championship grouping. Denison – in their program's first Men's Team Championship as a varsity program – Vassar, and Fordham complete the D draw.

Haverford will battle the squads from Hobart (12 p.m.) and Vassar (2:30 p.m.) to begin the championship action. Haverford has faced off with Hobart (7-9) just nine times in program history, with the most recent matchup a 7-2 Haverford victory at the 2020 Pioneer Valley Invitational. The Fords and Statesmen also faced off in the CSA Team Championships in 2019, a 8-1 victory for Hobart. Haverford has a strong tradition against Vassar (6-9), with a 23-12 overall record against the Brewers. Haverford has not dropped a match to Vassar since 2011, including a win this season on December 4, 2021 in Poughkeepsie.

Quinton Crawford has been Haverford's top flight player for all 13 matches this season, notching a 6-7 record at No. 1. Noah Tunis has been solid between the second and third flights, posting a 6-5 record at No. 3. Vassar received its victory at the second flight in the team's previous matchup in December.

Live results from all of the action, along with live video streaming of selected courts at Harvard, are available from the CSA Team Championships page.
