Men’s Tennis Finalizes 2025 Schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team has unveiled its 2025 spring schedule. The Fords will look to build off another successful spring season in 2024, which saw the Fords earn a 10-8 (5-2 CC) record and reach the Centennial Conference Semifinals for the third consecutive season. In his fourth year at the helm, Head Coach Eric Spangler will return to guide the Scarlet and Black through an 18-match slate.

The Fords will begin the new campaign with a doubleheader in Fredericksburg, Va., on February 22, taking on host Mary Washington before facing Virginia Wesleyan. Haverford will make a quick stop at home to battle Denison on March 1, before heading west to California for their Spring Break matches.

After a match with Hope International in Fullerton, Calif., on March 10, the Fords will take on UC Santa Cruz in Claremont, Calif., on March 11 before challenging Wabash and Redlands in Redlands, Calif., on March 12. The final match of the Spring Break trip will take place on March 13 at Caltech in Pasadena, Calif.

Haverford will return to action just over two weeks later to face Stevens in Hoboken, N.J., on March 28, before closing out a busy March with their first Centennial Conference match of the season at Gettysburg on March 29.

The month of April begins with a road match at TCNJ on April 2, followed by a road tilt with the Diplomats on April 5. Christopher Newport (April 11) and Dickinson (April 12) will make trips to the Fords' home courts before the Scarlet and Black visit the Shoremen of Washington College on April 16.

The Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts will serve as the site for the highly anticipated clash with Swarthmore on April 18, where both teams will compete for a coveted point in the Hood Trophy rivalry. After the Senior Day matchup with Muhlenberg on April 19, the Fords will host Ursinus on April 22 before ending the regular season in Baltimore, Md., against Johns Hopkins on April 26.

The Centennial Conference Championship Semifinals will take place on May 1, with the championship match scheduled for May 3. Haverford has made 16 consecutive appearances in the Centennial Conference Championship tournament, dating back to 2006.
