PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College men's indoor track and field team was at the Princeton Invitational with several runners setting personal milestones in the 3,000m event.
Senior David Roza (8:39.27) had the best time for Haverford in the 3,000m. The senior's time would ranks 13th in all of Division III. Senior Joel Christian set a personal best (8:45.65), beating his previous mark by almost three seconds, also posting the 28th best time in Division III. Junior Nicholas Gandolfo-Lucia recorded his career best in the event by nine seconds with an 8:51.57. Sophomore Charlie Hale (9:01.03) and sophomore Evan Hamilton (9:09.35) also reached personal milestones in the 3,000m.
Junior Charlie Marquardt placed fifth in the in the 800m event (1:57.95) while senior Soren Rasmussen (1:58.81) tallied a ninth place finish and freshman Henry Woods (1:59.84) finished 12th.
Junior Sam Fujimori participated in the mile event, running to a 15th place position (4:29.80). Sophomore Julian Schneider ran to a career best mile time (4:31.85) while junior Ryan Gooding finished just two tenths of a second shy of his best mile run (4:33.69).
Head coach Tom Donnelly's team gets right back on the track next Saturday by participating in the Tufts Invitational (Jan. 31).
