HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's indoor track and field team had seven winners during day two of the Centennial Conference Championships to finish in second place behind the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon at the Alumni Field House.

After winning his heat, junior Jeffrey Ainsley set a new conference record (8.33) and broke his own personal record in the 60m hurdles final. The junior has now won back-to-back indoor 60m hurdles crowns.

Senior Gibby Graves picked up another individual title for Haverford as he won the high jump (2.03m), which also broke a personal best and school record. It's Graves' fourth conference title, but first on the indoor track. Ainsley also tallied a point for the Fords, placing in a tie for the seventh (1.78m). The Haverford duo also was in the top four in the long jump with Graves in the third position and Ainsley in fourth.

The Fords took the top three positions in the mile. Junior Charlie Marquardt (4.17.73) was first, freshman Henry Woods was second (4:19.08) and sophomore Michael Brier (4:19.48) was third. It's Marquardt's second straight conference title in the event and 10th time that a Haverford runner had the fastest mile time in 11 years. Brier also broke his personal record.

Marquardt also won the 800m, running a 1:55.74. The junior has won four indoor track conference titles in his career. Junior Ryan Gooding finished eighth to score a point (1:59.30) for the Fords.

The 4x200 relay of Ainsley, junior Jonathan Yellets, senior Sam Callon and sophomore Alex Frost took home the title for the Fords with a time of 1:32.18. The group became the sixth Haverford 4x200 relay team to win the event, the last being in 2013. Haverford's 4x800 team won its second consecutive conference title. The team of Woods, sophomore Julian Schneider, Brier and Marquardt (7:59.78) were ahead of the field by over two seconds.

Yellets placed third in the 400m, just five-tenths of a second shy of Johns Hopkins' Andrew Carey. The junior was also third in the 200m event (23.36) and Callon scored a top-ten finish with a 23.61.
