Woods, Peet, Gorman and Morgan all added All-Region honors in the indoor track season to All-Region finishes during the cross country season ... Haverford has now finished first or second in the Centennial Championships in each season dating back to 1999 after taking second place to Johns Hopkins ... The Fords 4x200m team of Lynch, Alex Frost, Zach Oji and Scott Pollara finished just ahead of Muhlenberg to take home the event title ... The time was the eighth best in Haverford history ... Greg Van Aken posted a career-best mark of 3.91m in the pole vault at the CC Championships, a mark that is the eighth best in school history ... Morgan and Peet were each named CC Runner of the Week in January after setting personal-best 3000m times.
Looking Ahead: A talented group of sophomores including Peter Kurtz, Liam Lynch, Greg Morgan and Graham Peet join Henry Woods in picking up All-Region honors and will anchor the team going forward into the 2017-18 campaign.
Chris Goings, Zach Oji and Scott Pollara also return from All-Centennial performances. The Fords lose the leadership of All-conference seniors Jimmy Gorman and Alex Frost but will look to the large sophomore class to step into leadership roles as Woods anchors the distance contingent in his senior campaign as he chases down an All-America certificate.
First, the team opens up the outdoor campaign at the Golden Rams Invitational on March 25.
