HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College junior Dylan Gearinger has been named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week,  the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon. Gearinger is the third Haverford men's indoor track athlete to garner Athlete of the Week honors so far this season, as Liam Lynch and Greg Morgan have also picked up the plaudit in the first month and a half of the 2017-18 campaign.

Gearinger paced the field at the Seamus McElligott Invitational 3,000 meter race on Saturday, finishing with a time of 8:21.73 to easily capture the event title. After a track adjustment, the mark is noted as the fastest in NCAA Division III so far this season and is the sixth best mark in the illustrious history of the Haverford program.
