Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College junior Dylan Gearinger was once again named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

The award marks the third straight honor for the Haverford junior as the Berwick, Pa. product crossed in a time of 4:11.65 at the NYU Invitational for the 10th fastest indoor mile mark in Haverford history. The time narrowly eclipses a pace set by Eric Arnold '12 at the Boston University Terrier Invitational by one one-hundreth of a second.

Gearinger's time is also the 16th fastest mile so far this season in Division III according to the TFFRS NCAA Indoor Qualifying List. Gearinger has now entered the program's indoor top 10 list in the 3,000 meter race, 5,000 meter race and mile run in less than three weeks' time.

The junior becomes the first Haverford runner to garner three straight Athlete of the Week honors since Charlie Marquardt '16 picked up three straight plaudits during the 2016 campaign.

Men's indoor track & field is back in action on Saturday, February 17 at the Keogh Invitational inside the Alumni Field House. Events are slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. in the final tune-up before the Centennial Conference Championships.
