HAVERFORD, Pa. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) unveiled the 2019 Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index on Thursday afternoon, with the Haverford men holding on to the number 10 national rating in the first release.

The preseason ranking is tabulated using the top 2018 finishes of returning student-athletes. Last season, the Fords finished tied for 13th at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. Haverford will expect another strong finish at this year's championships in Boston, thanks in part to a strong middle distance and distance contingent that is laden with experience at the highest levels.

Senior Greg Morgan returns for a run at the mile crown after becoming just the third Haverford runner to earn All-America honors in the indoor mile. Senior Graham Peet also returns after an appearance in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Championships. Success up and down the docket for the Fords will be crucial in 2019, with seniors Chris Goings and Liam Lynch providing championship-level experience in shorter distances as well as the distance medley relay.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh, North Central (Ill.), defending national indoor champion Mount Union, MIT, and Christopher Newport are the top five teams in the preseason release.

The Fords, who have competed once already before the winter break at the Haverford Holiday Invitational, will head to the TCNJ Invitational at the NYC Armory on Saturday evening. First events are slated for 6 p.m.
