HAVERFORD, Pa. -  For the second consecutive week and the third time this season, Haverford senior Greg Morgan has been named the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week. Morgan earned the honor for the week ending February 2 after an impressive performance on Saturday at the Villanova Invitational on Staten Island.

Morgan easily won the 3,000-meter crown at the late afternoon event with a time of 8:19.73, pulling ahead of Zachary Michon of Division I Saint Joseph's by almost two seconds, topping a loaded field that included distance athletes from all three NCAA divisions.

The Hollidaysburg, Pa. product currently holds both the top mile mark (4:07.21), and top 3,000-meter mark (8:14.56) in all of Division III. The two-time track All-American has also now picked up Centennial Track Athlete of the Week honors for the sixth time in his career, with five of those awards coming during the indoor season.

Haverford will next be in action on Saturday, at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The meet is one of the most prominent events on the national schedule this season, and will begin at 10:30 a.m inside the Tennis & Track Center on the Terriers' campus.
