Centennial Conference Championships
- Haverford placed second overall at the Centennial Indoor Championships, capturing four individual event titles as well as the afformentioned distance medley relay.
- Greg Morgan set the stage for his national championshp success with a victory in the mile and a vital role as an anchor on Haverford's gold-medal winning DMR
- Liam Lynch took home his fourth-straight 400 meter crown, becoming the first athlete in the history of the Centennial Conference to achieve the feat and the first Haverford men's track athlete to win any indoor track event four times.
- Graham Peet delivered the distance double, following up his 5,000-meter crown on Friday with a 3,000-meter title on Saturday.
Season Notes: Morgan's outstanding indoor season was the main story of the season as the Hollidaysburg, Pa. product won the national championship in the 3,000 meters, elevating Haverford to status as the first program in Division III history to win the men's indoor 3,000 meters in back-to-back seasons ... Morgan is Haverford's 11th individual national champion and the fourth All-America performer in the indoor 3,000 meters, joining Dylan Gearinger, Charlie Marquardt '16, and Chris Stadler '14 ...With Morgan as its lone entrant, Haverford finished tied for 19th at the national meet ... Haverford ranks seventh in the USTFCCCA Program of the Year standings through two of three competitive seasons .... Haverford has never finished below second at a Centennial indoor meet ... Kofi Acheampong finished the season with a 60-meter dash time that is just one-hundredth of a second off of the Haverford College record, crossing the finish line in a time of 7.2 seconds at the Centennial meet ... Ethan Gadra impressed in the pole vault, posting a jump of 4.25 meters (13'-11.25") at the Centennial Conference meet, good for the third-best individual mark in program history.
Looking Ahead: The Fords will graduate a large and productive senior class headlined by Morgan, as all but one first-team All-Centennial selection from the indoor campaign was a senior. The Fords still retain three All-Centennial performances and an emerging distance and middle distance contingent that includes an All-Region performance from rookie Jamie Moreland. First year Ethan Gadra also made great strides in the pole vault, taking aim at Haverford's all-time record books on a weekly basis. With an outdoor season still to come, the Fords look to be in good shape to continue a string of success at the indoor conference meet in 2020. The outdoor season begins Friday, March 29 with the Danny Curran Invitational.
