HAVERFORD, Pa. -  Haverford College sophomore Jamie Moreland has been named the Centennial Conference Outstanding Indoor Track Performer, the conference office announced in its postseason awards release on Wednesday afternoon.

Moreland, a Los Angeles native, captured a pair of gold medals in Lancaster two weekends ago, as he came away with the crown in the mile, as well as running a leg of the distance medley relay that rose to the top of the podium. In addition to those gold-medal winning performances, Moreland also picked up a bronze in the 800 meters after crossing in third in that event. Moreland was named a USTFCCCA All-Region award winner on Tuesday, picking up certificates in both the mile and distance medley relay.

Moreland is the third straight indoor Outstanding Performer of the Meet from Haverford, and the 10th in program history on the track side. Greg Morgan was named Performer of the Year in 2019 on his way to the national championship in the 3,000 meters. Haverford previously captured the award in four straight seasons from 2013-16 as Chris Stadler '14 and Charlie Marquardt '16 each held a two-year stint as recipients of the conference's top indoor honor. The Fords have also had three outstanding field awards in the history of the program.

Matt Katz and Moreland will both contest the mile run at the NCAA Championships this weekend. Katz earned the 11th seed in the event (4:14.29) while Moreland took the 13th seed (4:14.41). The top three finishers in each of the two preliminary heats, in addition to the next four fastest times, will qualify for Saturday's finals. The mile prelims are slated for 2 p.m. on Friday, with the championship race to follow on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
