Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford men's track & field senior Jamie Moreland (Los Angeles, Calif.) picked up another Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week honor, earning the recognition for the fourth time in his career during the indoor season, the Centennial Conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning.

Moreland earned the honor after an impressive start to the 2023 campaign at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York City. Moreland posted a career-best time of 1:52.93 in the 800 meters at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational, winning the event title with the best time in the Centennial Conference thus far in 2022-23. The time was also the sixth-best, and top non-converted mark in Division III so far this year.

Moreland, a two-time All-American during the track seasons, has competed in both the 800 meters and the mile during his indoor career, with great success in both events. Specifically in the 800 meters, he has earned a Centennial Conference honorable mention as well as USTFCCCA All-Region designation.

Men's Track & Field will next return to action on Saturday, January 21 with a contingent heading to the Ocean Breeze Complex on Staten Island for the Villanova Invitational (4 p.m.) while another group of Fords heads to the Collegeville Classic at Ursinus (10 a.m.)
