NEW ORLEANS -  The first installment of the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field National TFRI (Track & Field Ratings Index) was released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The initial weekly rankings have listed Haverford as the 16th team in the nation. No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current qualifying marks from the 2023 indoor track & field season. The rankings should not be confused as a "form chart" or a hard-line predictor of NCAA Championship team finishes, but merely as an indicator of those who have the best chances and deepest rosters to compete as the nation's best.

Senior Jamie Moreland currently owns the third-best mile mark in the nation, as well as the 10th best 800-meter mark. Reigning Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week Senior Ryan Kredell also checks in with the third-best 3,000-meter mark and the 11th-best mile mark in a stellar start to his final indoor season. Sophomore Reza Eshghi also scored points towards the total for the Fords with the 29th-fastest mile mark while sophomore Peter LaRochelle earned the 22nd-best 3,000-meter time in the nation. First-year Jory Lee owns the 30th-best triple jump mark in Division III thus far.

Haverford is the highest ranked squad in the Centennial Conference, and the only to reach the top 25, ahead of No. 31 Johns Hopkins. Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Loras, Williams, Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and SUNY Cortland make up the top five programs with No. 6 Wartburg, No. 7 Nebraska Wesleyan, No. 8 SUNY Geneseo, No. 9 Mount Union and No. 10 MIT following to round out the top 10.

Kredell and Moreland are expected to compete on Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston. The Boston University hosted meet begins at 4:40 p.m. and a live video broadcast of the prestigious meet is available via the FloTrack subscription service.

The rest of the Haverford indoor track & field contingent will be in action again this Saturday for the McElligott Invitational at the Alumni Field House, the first of two indoor home meets for the Fords.
