Men's Track & Field Enters Top 15 in USTFCCCA Rankings

Full USTFCCCA Release

NEW ORLEANS - The Haverford College men's track & field team has moved up a spot to No. 15 in the latest release of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field National TFRI (Track & Field Ratings Index), the organization announced late Tuesday afternoon.

No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list, which is not a poll in the traditional sense, is compiled solely of current qualifying marks from the 2023 indoor track & field season. The rankings should not be confused as a "form chart" or a hard-line predictor of NCAA Championship team finishes, but merely as an indicator of those who have the best chances and deepest rosters to compete as the nation's best.

The Fords totaled 55.59 total points in the national ranking. Jamie Moreland's top-ranked mile at the Terrier Classic accounts for 22.95 points, while his 14th-place 800-meter run accounts for 2.34 points. Ryan Kredell earned 18.48 points for his 5,000-meter run at the Terrier Classic, while also contributing for his mile (1.94) and 3,000-meter marks (9.88).

Haverford is one slot below No. 14 Johns Hopkins, as the two are the only Centennial Conference schools in the top 25. Wisconsin- Oshkosh, MIT, William, Wisconsin-La Crosse, and Loras make up the top five men's programs currently.

In addition, Haverford is the third-ranked team in the Metro Region, behind a pair of NJAC stalwarts in Rowan and TCNJ. Stockton, Widener, Ursinus, Moravian, Stevens, Ramapo, and Montclair State round out the top 10 list in the regional rankings.

The Fords will be back in action this weekend, with a contingent heading up to NYU's New York City Division III Invitational at The Armory on Friday. Another group will stay a bit closer to campus for the Colden Invitational at Ursinus on Saturday.
