LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference on Tuesday announced that Haverford College junior Jordan Schilit was named the conference's men's outdoor track & field athlete of the week.
Schilit raced to a first-place finish in the 1,500 meter run over the weekend at the Danny Curran Invitational. His winning time of 3 minutes, 53.45 seconds is the second-fastest 1,500 of all Division III runners during the early portion of the 2012 season.
Schilit has picked up two All-American honors during the academic year, racing to an 18th-place finish at the D-III NCAA cross country championship in November then finishing seventh in the 5,000 at the D-III NCAA indoor track & field championship in early March.
