Men's Track & Field Named 2021 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's track & field team has been named a 2021 All-Academic Team, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced in a postseason release on Thursday. This season marks the 15th time in the past 16 seasons the Fords have earned this honor since the association combined the indoor and outdoor season into one award. 

To earn the USTFCCCA Academic Team Honor, a squad must have a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher. Overall, there were 160 different programs honored for their academic excellence in 2020-21. The Haverford program posted the 16th-highest overall team GPA in the nation and the third-highest in the Centennial Conference. 

No stranger to academic awards, the men's outdoor track & field placed a Centennial-high 23 team members of the Centennial Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll with Nathan Akerhielm, Jeffrey Allen, Aaron Bratt, Peter Buckley, David Cole, Caesar Dai, Jack Fanikos, Charlie Ferguson, Seamus Flannery, Michael Franco, Jacob Gaba, Scott Kaiser, Amos Karlsen, Ryan Kredell, Dylan Kupetsky, Jacob Landsberg, Ryan O'Donnell, Simon Perales, Gene Perry, Ryan Quenemoen, Nick Scardigno, Rasaaq Shittu and Ashton Smith all earning the recognition from the conference.
