Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College senior Jamie Moreland has been named the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance at the Golden Ram Invitational hosted by West Chester last weekend. This is Moreland's sixth career Track Athlete of the Week honor and third this season after collecting two in the indoor season. 

Moreland, who hails from Los Angeles, ran the 800 meter event in an impressive 1:53.37, winning the event title and posting the fastest time in the Centennial Conference so far this season. His time was also the 28th-fastest in all of Division III. 

In addition to his success in the 800 meter event, Moreland has also been a strong performer in other events this season. He has consistently posted strong times in the 1,500 meter and 5,000 meter events, demonstrating his versatility and all-around ability as a runner.

As the outdoor track and field season continues, Moreland will undoubtedly continue to be a key contributor for the Haverford team. His outstanding performance at the Golden Ram Invitational is just a preview of what is sure to be a successful season for the talented senior.
