HAVERFORD, Pa.  - Haverford College men's track and field earned seven All-Centennial Conference selections, the Centennial Conference office announced in a release on Friday afternoon.

To earn an all-conference selection, an athlete must  finish in first, second, or third in their respective competition at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships. All first place individuals are named to the first-team, second place individuals to the second-team, and third place individuals are honorable-mention.

Reza Eshghi headlined the Haverford contingent, picking up gold medals in the men's 1,500 meter run as well as the 5,000 meters. In the 1,500 meter,  Eshghi finished in 3:58.69 to capture the gold medal at the CC championships. The junior still currently holds the fastest time in the 1,500 meter race, after darting to a time of 3:47.25 at the Paul Donahue Invitational back on April 19.

Showcasing his versatility on the track, The Lincoln, Mass. local took home the 5,000 meter crown on Sunday as well, as the junior crossed the finish line in 14:34.9, to take home the gold. The current reigning champion in the 5,000, Esghi currently ranks third in the conference, after running to a time of 14:26.62 at the Danny Curran Invitational on March 29.

Joining Eshghi with a gold medal of his own was Ravi Eaton, as the standout senior claimed gold in the triple jump, reprising his gold from the indoor season after jumping 3.55 meters (44 feet, 5.5 inches). The distance leapt by the senior is now currently the second farthest in the Centennial Conference this year.

Earning silver medals were Peter Larochelle (10,00 meters) and Matthew Denton (1,500 meters), while Jonathan Hill added a pair of bronze medals in the 100 meters and 200 meters, as well as claiming a spot on the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

Haverford will next be in action on the track at the Widener Final Qualifier Meet, which is slated for Monday, May 13 with events starting at approximately 1 p.m. in Chester, Pa. Haverford athletes will look to solidify or earn marks to the NCAA Division III Championships, which are scheduled for May 24-26  in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
