Meeks named Centennial player of the week

LANCASTER, Pa. - A handful of impressive all-around performances helped Haverford College's Dominique Meeks merit the Centennial Conference's women's basketball player of the week award, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Named conference player of the week for the second time in her career, Meeks was a catalyst on both ends of the floor for the Fords as she averaged 11.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 assists per game.

Meeks tallied back-to-back double-doubles with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Franklin & Marshall College and 16 points and 12 rebounds against Dickinson College to help Haverford go 3-0 and continue its spotless start (4-0) to the conference season. The senior forward also moved into fourth-place all-time in scoring in program history and now has 17 double-doubles in her career.

The Fords look to remain perfect in conference play on Thursday night when they travel to Ursinus College for a 7 p.m. contest against the Bears.
