Season Review: Historic season for women's basketball

Signature Wins:  Haverford, led by Nina Voith's game-high 18 points, registered a convincing 61-49 victory over defending champion Gettysburg College in the Centennial Conference semifinals. The Fords made the most of their first appearance in the conference championship game as they dominated first-half play on their way to a 66-56 victory over Johns Hopkins University in the title contest.

Participating in the NCAA Division III Tournament as the conference's automatic bid, Haverford continued to make history as it used a late second-half surge to upend Little East Conference Champion Rhode Island College, 53-48, in the opening round. Voith and Jacuelyne Pizzuto keyed the program's first NCAA tournament victory with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Shannon Smith was a factor in the paint with a team-high 11 rebounds to go along with seven points and a game-high three blocks. The Fords were an impressive 18-for-24 from the free throw line with Pizzuto, one of the top foul shooters in program history, going a perfect 8-for-8.  Haverford's memorable journey came to an end in the second round with a hard-fought 53-48 loss to host Ithaca College.
