GETTYSBURG, Pa. – With all five starters in double figures, the Haverford College women's basketball team nabbed a 74-66 victory over the Gettysburg College Bullets at the Bream Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

In the second quarter, the back and forth battle saw eight lead changes and three ties. Gettysburg held its largest advantage of the game at 24-21 with 2:08 remaining before Goldbach scored seven straight points to help the road team to a 28-25 lead at halftime.

After a basket by Gettysburg's Jessica Porter tied the contest at 33-all, Haverford's offense exploded for a 17-3 run to jump in front, 50-36, as the clock ticked under 30 seconds in the stanza. Trailing by its largest deficit, Gettysburg made headway, scoring 10 consecutive points to cut its deficit to four, leading to a Haverford timeout with 8:51 to go in the game.

Following the timeout, the Fords stretched their advantage back to double digits, going ahead by 11 on two occasions. The Bullets registered five successive points to make the score 64-58 with 1:28 to go. Over the final 90 seconds of the game, the Fords made 10 free throws to secure their second Centennial Conference victory of the season.
