CARLISLE, Pa. – The Haverford College women's basketball season concluded as the team fell to the Dickinson College Red Devils, 44-26, in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament on Wednesday at the Kline Athletic Center in Carlisle, Pa.

Sierra Berkel made a layup 14 seconds into regulation, but the Fords quickly found themselves trailing, victims of an 18-4 run by the midpoint of the second quarter. Defensively, Haverford was able to hold Dickinson's leading scorer, Helen Roberts, to five points on 2-of-13 shooting. However, the Red Devils simply did not make many mistakes in the game, leading to their success on the scoreboard.

Berkel scored all of Haverford's first quarter points. With under three minutes left in the half, two free throws by Olivia Walsh seemed to get things started as the Fords scored again on their next possession with an Emily Anderson jumper, finishing strong in the half.

Haverford carried its momentum over in the second half, beginning the frame with a 7-0 run led by a Walsh 3-pointer and two Berkel layups. The Fords cut the deficit to 10 points late in the third quarter before the Red Devils pulled away.

Berkel, a sophomore, led the team in scoring with 10 points on five field goals. She also pulled in 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.

In Walsh's final game as a Ford, the senior guard had eight points, including a 3-pointer, and seven boards. Walsh will depart Haverford in the top 10 among all-time 3-point shooting percentages in program history at .342.

Head coach Bobbi Morgan's team finished its season with a 15-11 overall record and 10-8 record in the conference. Haverford has now made the Centennial Conference playoffs for a program-record five consecutive years.
