HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College senior forward Sierra Berkel has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon. Berkel shares the award with Franklin & Marshall's Kristin Hamill.

Berkel led the charge offensively in a win against Dickinson on Saturday afternoon inside the Gooding '84 Arena. Berkel posted an impressive third quarter in the victory, scoring 13 of her game-high 20 points during that period on 5-of-6 shooting from the field while also making each of her three free throws during the stretch. Berkel finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double effort of the season.

The senior co-captain has averaged 13.8 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game in an impressive start to her senior season, following up First Team All-Centennial Conference honors a season ago with another strong offensive output. The Flushing, N.Y. native has scored in double figures in four of her six contests so far this season including a career best 24-point performance against Stevens on December 2.

Berkel picked up Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season after last picking up the honor during January of her junior campaign. Berkel enters Tuesday with 914 career points, good for eighth in program history. Her 684 career rebounds is fifth in Haverford history.

Haverford is out to an 8-2 overall start including a 5-1 mark in the Centennial Conference. Next up for Berkel and the Fords is a showdown on Tuesday evening at Gettysburg (6-0 CC) as the race for Centennial Conference tournament positioning begins its early stages.
