HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's basketball team clinched a second straight trip to the NCAA tournament on Saturday afternoon with a 62-40 triumph over top-seeded Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference championship game. The conference championship represents the second in program history for the Fords, and the first since the 2013-14 campaign.
With an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament now secured, Haverford will find out its first round opponent and site this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. during the NCAA selection show. Fans can watch the selection show on NCAA.com via the link above.
Haverford will be making its third appearance overall in the NCAA tournament. The Fords have now posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in program history.
