Kayla Robinson Earns CC Player of the Week Honors

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's basketball junior Kayla Robinson has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday.

This is the first weekly win for Robinson, as the Connecticut native was a force for the Fords in a 2-1 run through Centennial Conference play. Robinson was a force in three starts for Haverford, averaging a double-double as the Fords went 2-1 with conference wins over Ursinus and F&M. Robinson stepped into the starting lineup after beginning the season as a reserve, and made her presence felt with averages of 12.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per contest while shooting 51.9 percent from the field.

She pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds in the opening game of the week before registering double-doubles against both Ursinus (16 pts, 11 reb) and F&M (12 pts, 13 reb). She currently ranks second in the CC in rebounds per game this season (10.8).

The Fords (6-3, 3-2 CC) return to action on Wednesday night, taking on Bi-Co partner Bryn Mawr  for a 6 p.m. tip-off inside Gooding '84 Arena.
