Landau Named CC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College sophomore guard Ally Landau has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday, January 18. The Livingston, N.J. product picks up a weekly award for the first time in her career after an impressive performance that helped anchor a 3-0 week for Haverford in Centennial Conference competition.

Landau averaged 21.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in the 3-0 week for the Fords, as Haverford got into a rhythm against those conference foes. Perhaps most impressively, she almost never hit the bench, averaging over 38 minutes a contest. She leads the CC in minutes played per game (36.65). Landau matched a career high with 21 points against McDaniel and then shattered that mark with 24, including eight from the charity stripe, against Ursinus just two days later. She also contributed 10 assists, five steals, and 16 rebounds as the Fords grabbed a road win at McDaniel and wrapped up a pair of season sweeps against Ursinus and Dickinson.

Landau and the Fords will return to action on Wednesday with another road test at Muhlenberg. The showdown in Allentown is slated to begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the Fords men's team taking on the the Mules at 8 p.m.
