HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's basketball standout sophomore Ally Landau was recognized as the City of Basketball Love (COBL) Division III Rookie of the Year, the online publication announced in a release earlier this week. In addition, Landau garnered a spot on the All-Area second team in her first full season on campus at Haverford.

One of the top scorers both on her Haverford squad and within the Centennial Conference, The Livingston, N.J. product finished second in the Centennial Conference in points per game (16.2), tallying double-digit scoring totals in all but four games this season. Landau was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week on January 18 after averaging 21.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week for the Fords.

Landau later notched a career-best 29 in a win over Muhlenberg on February 8. Quickly establishing herself as one of the conference's mainstay guards, Landau was the Centennial Conference leader in total minutes (960) and minutes per game (36.5). A true two-way threat, Landau was first in the conference in total points, (421) field goals made (168) as well as second in assists (91), and steals (66).

Adding the honor to All-Region and All-Centennial Conference honors, Landau wrapped up an impressive campaign as the Fords also held opponents to a nation-best 45 points per game, earning the national statistical championship in that category.
