Landau Picks Up D3hoops.com Second-team All-Region 5 Honors

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College junior guard Ally Landau picked up another postseason accolade on Tuesday, as she was named to second-team All-Region 5 honors by D3hoops.com. 

This is the second season in a row that Landau has been named to the All-Region 5 team. Landau's 2023 award is the fifth D3hoops.com all-region selection in program history. All players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region teams are now immediately eligible for All-American selection.

Landau earned All-region and First-team All-Centennial Conference honors for the second consecutive season after a stellar junior season. She finished second in the CC in points per game (17.1) and also tops the conference in minutes (983), minutes per game (37.8), three-pointers made (48), and total points (444). The Livingston, N.J. product matched a Haverford single-game record with a career-best 36 points in the Centennial Conference tournament against Muhlenberg and logged double-digit scoring in all but two games this year.

Haverford fell in its sixth consecutive trip to the Centennial Conference semifinals last Friday night, Haverford earned a consecutive postseason berth and won 15 or more games for the 11th consecutive season.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools. There were 798 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. It's the 22nd season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The men's team will be released March 18, at the national championship game, and the women's team will be released at a predetermined time between the national semifinals on March 18 and the title game on April 1. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
