Women's Lacrosse Scores 16 in Win Over Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, Pa. -- The Haverford College women's lacrosse team (8-4, 4-1 CC) was unrelenting in a 16-3 win over Bryn Mawr (4-8, 0-7) at Applebee Field on Saturday. The win marked the Fords' fourth straight in Centennial Conference play. Haverford was also receiving votes in the ranking polls entering the game. The Fords' 16 goals was the team's highest total since an 18-6 win over Eastern (March 17) earlier this season.

Haverford scored the first nine goals of the game, starting with Allie Gibbons lighting the lamp in the first 40 seconds of regulation. Gibbons also assisted on two goals later in the game. The Fords saw 11 different players score at least one goal in the game. Rina Rosnow, Elyse Adler, and Sarina Manetta 
scored two apiece with Manetta also assisting on a goal. Maura Grant had three points, including a goal and two assists. The Fords outshot the Owls 29-14 over the course of regulation.

On defense, Elizabeth Fishman caused a team-high four turnovers and secured three ground balls.

Sophomore Rachel Romens drew her first career start in goal, displaying an excellent performance in saving eight goals on 11 shots and earning the win. 

The Fords return home for another conference game on Wednesday as they host Washington College at 7 p.m. on Swan Field.
