LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Haverford College women's lacrosse team (8-6, 4-3 CC) was defeated by Franklin & Marshall (15-1, 7-0 CC) 16-5 on Saturday afternoon at Tylus Field. Coming into the game, the Diplomats were ranked No. 4 in the country and undefeated in conference play.

Haverford leading scorer Molly Lausten netted the Fords' first goal of the game at the 16:28 mark of the first half. She would later score their last goal of the game too, with 4:40 remaining in regulation. Lausten, a sophomore, has a nose for the goal as she has now registered eight multi-goal games this season. Her two during this game give her 28 for the year.

The Fords' next two goals were scored by Allie Gibbons and Sarina Manetta. Gibbons has really found a groove lately, scoring in each of the team's last six games. Manetta also picked up the assist on Gibbons' goal and grabbed two groundballs in the game.

Junior Shannon Rafsol picked up her third goal of the season late in the second half.

Goalie Megan Chenworth stopped six shots in the game.

Head coach Lauren Wray's team wraps up the regular season with two home games next week. First, hosting Ursinus on Wednesday, April 27 at 4 p.m. and then the season finale against Swarthmore on Saturday at 1 p.m. The first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs starts the following week.
