HAVERFORD, Pa. - The 22nd-ranked Haverford College women's lacrosse team (12-3, 7-1 CC) kept things rolling at home against Ursinus (7-9, 2-6 CC), winning the weeknight contest by a 16-5 final. With the win, the Fords extended their win streak to seven games and sit in a second place tie in the Centennial Conference standings. The seven consecutive triumphs represents Haverford's longest win streak since winning eight straight between February 27 and March 27 of 2010.

Sophomore Jordan Denaver and junior Katharine Ference led the way for the Fords as they finished with two goals and three assists each. 

It was a team effort for the Fords against the visiting Bears. Nine different Fords scored a goal, with eleven of those goals being assisted. First, Callie Crawford scored the first two goals for Haverford within the opening four minutes of play. Then, Denaver scored her first goal on a pass from Hannah Lopez for the team's third goal of the contest at the 10:50 mark. Next, Sam Silverman and Ference scored two more goals for the Fords before Ursinus finally pulled one back with four minutes remaining in the period.

Thanks to Reilly Morgan, the second period started with Ursinus scoring at the 14:09 mark. However, Haverford scored four straight goals to make the score 9-2. Roma Hladky, Hannah Lopez, Lia Herzig, and Crawford contributed in that stretch. Each goal the Fords scored in the period was assisted. Two of Ference's assists came in the second, while Hladky and Lizzie Healy assisted the others. Finally, the Bears scored in the dying seconds of the half to make the halftime score 9-3. 

The Fords outscored Ursinus 5-1 in the third period, securing a running clock thanks to the ten-goal lead. Denaver, Hladky, Ference, Julia Curran, and Lopez scored in the frame for Haverford while the defense continued to dominate the game. Kate Severtson led the Fords with four ground balls while Herzig was right behind her with three. Herzig also caused two turnovers on the night. 

Sarah Cahn spent most of the time in the cage, playing just under 54 minutes. She recorded eight saves from the 12 shots she faced in her time. Annie Bravacos entered the game in the fourth period and finished with two saves in six minutes of relief work. 

In the fourth, Herzig scored her second goal of the game, while Ellie Hughes scored the game's final goal on the assist from Abby Bonner, her first collegiate assist. Haverford outshot Ursinus 34-18 and narrowly won the turnover battle, surrendering 18 to 20 for the Bears.

Haverford will end the regular season at home on Saturday, April 30, for Senior Day as they will take on No. 4 Franklin & Marshall. The Fords and Diplomats are currently tied with the same record in conference action. The winner will claim the second seed in the Centennial Conference tournament. The first draw is scheduled for 12 p.m.
