HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford junior attacker Brooke Epstein (Hillsborough, N.C./Durham Academy) has been named a 2025 USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention Division III Preseason All-American, as announced in a release on Thursday, February 6. This recognition highlights Epstein's impressive contributions to the Haverford women's lacrosse program during her first two seasons on campus and sets the stage for what promises to be a stellar junior campaign.
Epstein enters the 2025 season following a breakout sophomore year in which she earned First-Team IWLCA All-Metro Region and All-Centennial Conference honors. Her performance helped propel the Fords to a return trip to the NCAA tournament and she now looks to build on that momentum as a key offensive leader.
One of the most prolific scorers in the Centennial Conference, Epstein started all 19 games last season and led Haverford in several key statistical categories. She topped the team in points (83), goals (61), and free-position goals (14), earning her first All-Region honors. Her offensive dominance was evident throughout the season, as she recorded at least four goals in eight different games. Notable performances included a six-goal effort against McDaniel on April 6 and a five-goal outing against then-No. 2 Franklin & Marshall on April 20. Her scoring prowess placed her among the top 100 players nationally in Division III, ranking 78th in goals and 87th in points.
Preseason No. 1 Middlebury, winner of three straight NCAA championships, has five All-Americans, including three on the first team. Tufts, the preseason No. 2, leads the country with eight All-American selections. USA Lacrosse All-Americans are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with consultation from college coaches.
With Epstein leading the attack, the Fords are poised for another strong season. Haverford will open the 2025 campaign at home against NESCAC opponent Bates on Wednesday, February 19. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Swan Field, followed by the men's lacrosse team facing off against Arcadia at 7 p.m.
