
Full Centennial Conference Release
HAVERFORD, Pa.. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team has been selected third in the annual preseason Centennial Conference women's lacrosse poll, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon. Haverford received 50 total points in the overall vote.
The 2024 season was one to remember for the Scarlet and Black, as the Fords reached the NCAA tournament for the sixth time in school history. Aside from reaching the Centennial Conference semifinals, the Fords reached as high as No. 24 in the IWLCA Coaches Poll, as well as placing five players on the All-Centennial Conference teams. Leading the charge along the sidelines for the Scarlet and Black will be Katie Wertman in her eighth season.
Haverford will be led offensively by the dynamic duo of Brooke Epstein and Tiffany Mikulis. Epstein, a 2025 USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention, led Haverford and ranked top five in the Centennial Conference in points, goals, and free-position goals. The junior attacker also ranked 78th in goals and 87th for points in Division III.
Mikulis, an Honorable Mention U.S. Lacrosse Magazine All-American, had a splendid 2024 season that saw the midfielder pace the Scarlet and Black in draw controls with 67, on top of scoring 43 goals and registering 50 points on the season.
Defensively, Eva Baumann will anchor the backline for the Fords. The senior, who was an IWLCA All-Metro Region and an All-Centennial Conference First Team defender, paced Haverford with 31 caused turnovers, ranking third in the Centennial Conference.
The Bullets of Gettysburg top the women's lacrosse preseason poll, collecting seven first-place votes and 63 total voting points. Two-time defending champion Franklin & Marshall was touted second, with the two remaining first-place votes and 58 total voting points. Haverford picked up the number three designation with 50 total voting points, while Dickinson (fourth, 36 points) and Muhlenberg (fifth, 35 points) rounded out the top five in the poll.
The Shorewomen of Washington College were tabbed sixth with 33 total voting points, followed by Ursinus in seventh with 25 total voting points. Filling out the final two spots in the 2025 Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse poll were Swarthmore (16 points) and McDaniel (eight points), who claimed spots eighth and ninth , espectively.
Women's Lacrosse will begin their 2025 campaign at home, as the Bobcats of Bates pay a visit to Swan Field on Wednesday, February 19, at 4 p.m.
