Women's Squash Honors Seniors at Centennial Round Robin

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The 28th-ranked Haverford College women's squash team (4-9) closed out the regular season with the annual Centennial Round Robin against No. 22 Dickinson (7-13) and No. 16 Franklin & Marshall (10-8) on Saturday afternoon at the GIAC Squash Courts. The Fords fell to the Red Devils and Diplomats by 9-0 final scores.

Prior to the late afternoon match with the Diplomats, Haverford honored seniors Izzy Johnson and Shreya Singh. The pair has combined for 33 total wins in three competitive seasons with the Fords while proving to be leaders both on and off the court for a young squad that has navigated adversity and had six players seeing their first collegiate action this season.

Dickinson 9, Haverford 0

The Fords struggled to find their footing against a talented Red Devils side, with the best performances of the morning match coming from sophomore Emi Krishnamurthy at the seventh flight, as Krishnamurthy worked Cate Moll to eight and seven points, respectively in the first and third flights. Isabelle Johnson also notched a tough battle against Courtney Trail at the third, putting Trail on the brink before falling 11-8 in the final game of their matchup.

Franklin & Marshall 9, Haverford 0

In the late afternoon match with Franklin & Marshall, Johnson feted her Senior Day with a third-game victory over Emily Knapp, pushing the Diplomat player to a fourth game after a triumph in the third thanks to a methodical performance. Krishnamurthy again impressed at the seventh flight, turning away Pratiksha Mishra in the third game by a 11-7 final to force her opponent to a fourth game.

Haverford will now await the pairings for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, which are slated for Boston in two weeks. Action will open on February 25 on the courts at either Harvard, MIT, or Tufts and continue through February 27.
