The Fords struggled in the opener against the Camels, as Connecticut College secured a sweep at all nine flights. One of the most impressive performances of the afternoon came from Emi Krishnamurthy at the top flight, where the senior battled Rachel Matamoros. Despite Krishnamurthy being outlasted in the third game, she took Matamoros to the limit, tallying 15 points in the extra-points thriller. Matamoros ultimately prevailed 11-7, 11-1, 17-15 to put a point in the Connecticut column.

Elsewhere, Amelia Stevens took her opponent to eight points at the third flight (11-4, 11-5, 11-8), while Aman Hamdard did the same at the fourth (11-4, 11-5, 11-8) in a valiant effort.

Against the host Brewers, Stevens emerged victorious over Adriana Ordaya at the third flight, securing a sweep with scores of 11-3, 11-8, 11-9. Haverford secured additional match wins from Amy Saxon and Lily Matthews at the seventh and eighth flights, respectively.

Saxon cruised to an 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 win over Kelsey O'Connell, while Matthews dominated Chloe Vaiman at the eighth matchup, allowing just two points over the final two games in a commanding performance (11-6, 11-2, 11-0).

In another notable match, Maya Johnson-Fraidin and Sarah Boucher-Rowe engaged in an epic battle at the fifth flight. Johnson-Fraidin fell behind with 11-5 and 11-3 losses in the first two games but turned the tide with 11-5 and 11-4 wins, setting the stage for a decisive fifth game. In that fifth game, Boucher-Rowe did just enough to eke out an 11-9 win, denying the Fords a tally.

Krishnamurthy also delivered a stellar performance at the top flight, as she was outlasted in five games by Anna Lee. Krishnamurthy took the second and third games, 11-8, forcing a fifth game, but was ultimately outlasted in extra points, 12-10. Zoe Liu also took her opponent to extra points in a 12-10 third-game loss at the second flight, while Aman Hamdard battled Sehar Dey-Kohli at number four, rallying back from an 11-1 loss in the first game to deliver an 11-9 win in the second. However, Dey-Kohli ultimately prevailed 16-14 in a marathon decision in the fourth game.

With the 2023 portion of the regular season now concluded, Haverford will break for finals and the winter holidays before returning to action on January 20, 2024, at Connecticut College. The Fords will rematch with the host Camels at 11 a.m. in New London before taking on No. 31 Mount Holyoke at 2 p.m.
