WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Haverford College women's tennis team made quick work of host McDaniel College on Saturday afternoon during an 8-1 Centennial Conference victory over the Green Terror.
The Fords (6-6, 2-1 CC) broke in front with wins in all three doubles matches then clinched the win over McDaniel (3-6, 0-4) winning five singles matches in straight sets.
Alex Ferrara, Caitlin Gallagher and Abbey Flynn each won twice during the day. Ferrara and Gallagher teamed up at No. 1 doubles then picked up singles wins at No. 1 and No 2, respectively. Flynn won in a pairing at 2-doubles with Kate Donches then picked up a win at 4-singles.
The season continues for Haverford on Tuesday with a trip to Collegeville, Pa., for a Centennial match against Ursinus College.
