Centennial recognizes Gallagher for unblemished singles record

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Centennial Conference named Haverford College's Caitlin Gallagher as the women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday afternoon in recognition of her perfect record in singles action this spring.

The sophomore co-captain rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Muhlenberg at top-flight singles and then capped the spotless week with another straight-set victory (6-1, 6-2) against Dickinson.

Gallagher, boasting a 13-0 record in singles action in 2013, also moved up to No. 14 last week in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings of singles players in the Atlantic South Region.

This marks the second time this season Gallagher has earned conference player of the week honors.

Currently sitting atop the program record books with a .821 winning percentage, Gallagher is 32-7 overall in her career.
