ITA Atlantic South Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has ranked the Haverford College women's tennis team 12th in the Atlantic South Region during its fall rankings release. The Fords are one of seven teams from the Centennial Conference ranked in the first release of the season.

Looking ahead to the spring, a very exciting conference schedule appears to be on tap with the number of teams ranked. Johns Hopkins is ranked third in the region as the highest ranked conference foe. Washington College and Franklin & Marshall currently own the two slots ahead of the Fords at No. 10 and No. 11, respectively. Ursinus (No. 17), Swarthmore (No. 18), and Muhlenberg (No. 20) are also represented in the poll.

Women's tennis has been to the Centennial Conference Tournament in each of the past seven seasons. Six of those trips have seen the team make it to at least the semifinals with the 2014 team advancing to the Centennial Conference Championship match. Haverford went 15-5 overall last season and finished as the No. 12 team in the regional rankings.

The Fords are currently scheduled to open play this spring during the team's annual Spring Break trip to Florida which is scheduled for March 5 through March 12.
