Full Centennial Conference Release
HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College sophomore Emily Oh has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning. This is the first career honor for the sophomore.
Oh went 2-1 at No. 5 singles and secured a pair of wins at No. 2 doubles during the only full week of the Fords' spring break trip to Florida. Her top win of the week came at No. 5 singles against 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon, as she captured Haverford's lone point in the match with a 7-6(3), 2-6, 10-6 victory in a third-set tiebreaker.
The Demarest, N.J. product has produced a 4-1 overall record in singles during the 2022 dual match portion of the schedule, with her only blemish coming at No. 5 Wesleyan. Her chance to take on Catriona MacIntosh of No. 18 Kenyon was denied as that match went unfinished as Haverford resumed its contest to decision with Kenyon after a rain delay.
Oh and the rest of the Haverford squad will return to action on Saturday, March 26 with a matchup against Stevens. The contest is slated to begin at noon on the Haverford campus.
