HAVERFORD, Pa. - On Wednesday afternoon, the Haverford College Women's Tennis team (6-5, 4-0 CC) continued their winning ways with a dominating performance over Bryn Mawr (6-4, 0-4 CC) in a Centennial Conference match at the Bramall Courts outdoors on the Haverford campus.

Haverford has now won 11 consecutive Centennial Conference matches, a streak that dates back exactly one calendar year, to April 5 of last season. The doubles matches started off with a strong showing from the Fords. The pair of Ellie Esterowitz and Mimi Lavin dominated Bryn Mawr's Wynn Bryant and Lowrey West, winning their match 8-0. The pairing is now 9-4 on the season thus far, including 5-2 at the second doubles pairing.

Abhishree Menon and Abbey Russano then teamed up to extend Haverford's lead, comfortably defeating Kelli Eng and Macey Ellis 8-1 at the third flight. The duo is 2-0 together, appearing as both the second and third flight pairing.  The Bryn Mawr duo of Fernanda Hurtado and Nicole Lim was able to take the last doubles match 8-6 against Rachael Fitzgerald and Summer Williams of Haverford.

The momentum from the doubles matches carried over to the singles play, as Haverford won all six matches. Ellie Esterowitz was particularly impressive in her singles match, winning in straight sets against Bryant, 6-0, 6-0 at the second flight. Esterowitz improves to 6-3 in the dual-match season with the blanking.

In the top singles match, Lim of Bryn Mawr secured a win over Abbey Russano of Haverford, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Haverford responded with four consecutive victories to seal the win. Rachael Fitzgerald fought hard in a tight first set but ultimately pulled out the win with a 7-6, 6-0 victory over West. Sriya Krishnan secured a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Hurtado, while Erika Phanord won her match against Eng 6-3, 6-2. Finally, Annie Barrett put the finishing touches on the victory with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win over Ellis.

Fitzgerald's tight win in the third singles match helped set the tone for the team's three additional wins to close out the contest. Krishnan and Phanord also secured key victories, while Barrett's dominant win in the sixth singles match put a bow on the win for Haverford.

Overall, it was a strong team effort from the Fords, with a bevy of key contributions to the victory. The Fords will look to build on their success as they continue their conference play on Saturday at No. 26 Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. The match is slated for an 11 a.m. opening serve.
