Signature wins: In September, the Fords grabbed convincing wins over Catholic and Widener (Sept. 15), sweeping back-to-back matches at the Neumann Knights Invitational … The team showed its mettle down the stretch, taking crucial conference wins over Ursinus (Oct. 3) and Washington College (Oct. 10) before avenging an earlier loss to non-conference foe Scranton with a 3-1 win over the Royals on the neutral court at the Stevens Invitational (Oct. 13) … The Scranton match kicked off a 4-2 stretch to finish the season as the Fords posted back-to-back sweeps over conference competition in Dickinson (Oct. 20) before returning later in the day to dispatch Manhattanville and later grabbing the win over Bryn Mawr (Oct. 24).

Season Notes: Senior Natalie Pisch finished the season with 1,041 career kills, becoming just the 10th player in program history to reach the 1,000 kills mark ... She currently ranks ninth in program history in the category … Junior Julia Gallagher-Teske finished her third campaign with 299 total blocks, the third-most in program history … She also ranks second in program history with 0.98 blocks per set … Gallagher-Teske's 112 total blocks this season was also the second best single-season output in Haverford history … Gallagher-Teske finished the season as the Centennial Conference's leading blocker and ranked 12th in NCAA Division III in blocks per set (1.17) … Matsumura finishes her junior season with 1,432 digs, good for ninth in Haverford history … Matsumura's 4.7 career digs per set mark is the program's third-best output ... Sophomore Sydney Miller was named to the Haverford Invitational All-Tournament Team. 

Looking Forward: Haverford will be without the veteran presence and production of Pisch, but the squad returns the rest of a young roster that will be jockeying for a postseason berth in 2019 in Head Coach Drew Hargrave's fourth season at the helm. The Fords large first year class gained a wealth of valuable experience in 2018, with six newcomers playing in 20 or more matches … First years dotted the box score on a nightly basis with primary setter Sara Hunsberger averaging 7.96 assists per set while Dina Kosyagin was second on the team with 2.4 kills per set. Riley Outen was called upon as a key blocker, averaging 0.6 per frame … Elena Filograna emerged as a vital part of Haverford's service game, with .51 service aces per set… Isabel Schwam finished third on the squad with 213 total digs.
