HAVERFORD, Pa.  - The Haverford College volleyball team is receiving votes in the final AVCA 2021 Division III National Coaches Poll, earning its way into the national landscape after a spirited run to the NCAA tournament second round. In total, the Fords received eight voting points. The NCAA tournament appearance was the first for Haverford since the 2014 season as volleyball notched a 24-6 overall record, the program's most wins since the 2009 season. The Fords capped off the memorable postseason run with an NCAA First Round victory over UMass-Boston at the Cambridge, Mass. Regional on the campus of MIT.

Individually, Haverford had a tremendous haul in the postseason awards releases. The Fords garnered a pair of AVCA All-Region players for the first time since 2009 as Juliet Young and Dina Kosyagin were both recognized for their prowess in Region V.  By virtue of her first-team All-Region selection, Young was also named honorable mention All-America, becoming the first Haverford rookie to earn that honor since 2006.

Young also became the program's first-ever Rookie of the Year in the Centennial Conference while Drew Hargrave was named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year. The Fords placed Young, Kosyagin, Taylor Jones and Sara Hunsberger on the All-Centennial Conference squads. Hunsberger was additionally recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, becoming the first Haverford player to garner that plaudit since the 2007 season.
