HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College Head Volleyball Coach Drew Hargrave has been elected chair of the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee for the 2025 season. Hargrave was elected by her peers on the 10-member committee at the NCAA headquarters during the annual committee meeting this week.
The 2025-26 academic year will be Hargrave's fourth year on the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee, where she has played a pivotal role in the sport's governance and championship oversight. She currently serves as the chair of Region V, which includes schools from the Atlantic East, Centennial, Landmark, MAC, and Salisbury from the C2C. Her extensive experience includes supervising the last three national championships in Pittsburgh (2022), Claremont, Calif. (2023), and Salem, Va. (2024).
Hargrave has also served as the NCAA site representative for multiple regional championships, including the Johns Hopkins University regional in 2023 and 2024, as well as the Juniata College regional in 2022. Before joining the national committee, she was a member of the Region V Regional Advisory Committee from 2019-2021.
"It is an honor to represent Haverford College and the Centennial Conference as a member of the NCAA Division III Volleyball Committee," Hargrave said. "I love serving on this committee and bringing my passion for DIII volleyball to our work. I feel grateful to be chosen as chair for this upcoming year and look forward to continuing to work with the wonderful group of coaches and administrators on the committee to help elevate DIII volleyball and our championship."
Hargrave follows in the footsteps of Gallaudet University's Associate Athletic Director for Communications, Sam Atkinson, who served as chair for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee is responsible for creating the official bracket for the 64-team national tournament and overseeing the competition through both weekends of play. The 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball National Championship will take place from December 3-6 in Bloomington, Illinois, on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.
Now in her ninth year at Haverford College, Hargrave has built a strong program, leading the Fords to their sixth NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021 while earning Centennial Conference Coach of the Year honors.
Additionally, Hargrave was named to the prestigious American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 30 Under 30 list, recognizing her as one of the top rising coaches in the sport in the spring of 2021.
As a collegiate player, Hargrave was an NCAA Division III National Champion and a three-time All-American during her decorated career at Washington University in St. Louis.
