United Soccer Coaches release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Nick Jannelli earned his second consecutive United Soccer Coaches first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honor which was announced on Monday. Since the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) started awarding all-region honors, Jannelli is the first in program history to earn first-team recognition in two seasons. Both Frank Adamson '98 (second-team in 1996 and HM in 1995) and Sam Yarosh '16 (first-team in 2015 and third-team in 2013) join Jannelli as two-time all-region performers.

Earlier this fall, Jannelli became just the second player ever to win multiple Centennial Conference Player of the Year honors as he did so during both his junior and senior campaigns. Jannelli, one of just two CC Players of the Year in conference history, led the Centennial Conference with 30 points through the regular season as he scored 11 goals and assisted on eight others. It marked the second straight season in which Jannelli led the conference in points. Jannelli capped his career as a four-time All-Centennial Conference selection, earning first-team All-CC accolades three times.

A co-captain on the 2019 team, Jannelli's senior year was headlined by multi-goal outings against Cabrini, Hampden-Sydney, and Muhlenberg, scoring the game-winning goal during those last two contests. Jannelli scored a goal in seven different contests as Haverford was 4-2-1 in those matches. Over his four seasons, the Fords were 38-5-1 when Jannelli found the back of the net. Jannelli earned Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career this fall after helping Haverford get into the Centennial Conference playoffs during the final week of the regular season.

Haverford players have now combined for 13 all-region selections since the 2012 season. The Fords made their ninth straight Centennial Conference Tournament appearance this year as they went 9-6-3 overall, including a 5-3-1 record in Centennial Conference matches. The Fords earned the No. 4 seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament as they hosted a home playoff game on Walton Field for the seventh consecutive season.
