Caulfield adds pair of postseason honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Kevin Caulfield of the Haverford College men's tennis team added two more honors to his postseason haul as the Centennial Conference selected him as the league's sportsmanship award winner, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning, and on Tuesday the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named Caulfield the Atlantic South Region recipient of the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship award.

On Friday, May 10 the Centennial named Caulfield first-team all-conference in singles for the fourth time in his career, and first-team in doubles for the third consecutive season. Tuesday night the league released its spring academic honor roll on which Caulfield appeared for the third time in his three seasons of eligibility. The 2012 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Tennis Performer of the Year, he is in the final balloting for the same honor this spring.

Playing at No. 1 singles and doubles from the opening match of his freshman season, Caulfield accumulated 56 singles victories, which ties for third-most in program history, and 39 wins in doubles which is tied for seventh-most.

Caulfield, ranked 10th in the region in singles, helped lead his Haverford team into the championship match of the 2013 Centennial tournament. Caulfield and the Fords played their way into the tournament's semifinal round each of the past three seasons.
