HAVERFORD, Pa. – Prior to Saturday afternoon's men's tennis alumni matches at the Bramall and Marshall Tennis Courts, Haverford College's men's team presented Mike Dugan '85 (pictured, far right) with a commemorative coin in honor of the graduate being voted onto the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Century Team which was released in the summer of 2013 by the Fords' previous league.

The MAC celebrated its 100th birthday with the 2012-13 academic year.

The MAC 100 all-century team in men's tennis is divided into five different eras. Dugan joins six others on the 1984-1993 squad.

Dugan played for the Fords from 1981 through 1985 accumulating 31 wins in singles action and 29 in doubles play. His winning percentage in doubles of .829 (29-6) remains the highest percentage in program history.

Coached by Albert Dillon throughout his time at Haverford, Dugan's best season came during his junior campaign when he registered an 11-1 record in singles and 15-2 record in doubles.

Haverford compiled consecutive winning seasons in each of Dugan's years posting a best of 9-2 in 1984.

Haverford assistant coach Ken Norris '74 was with Coach Dillon during Dugan's four years of playing for the Scarlet and Black. Norris, who opened Saturday's brief ceremony, recalls Dugan as a player who "was always trying to improve his game. He practiced diligently which led to vast improvements" over his time with the Fords.
