GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team capped its regular season with a 9-0 victory at Gettysburg on Saturday. The Fords (11-6, 7-2 CC) did not drop a set during their unbeaten day and finished the regular season with clean sweeps during four of their seven Centennial Conference victories.

The newly regionally-ranked doubles pairing of Josh Moskovitz and David Kong did not disappoint as that duo had the most convincing win to start the day with an 8-2 victory. That victory caps a very strong regular season for the duo as it went 9-4 overall with a 6-1 record against conference competition.

Rob Kresch and Ishaan Prinz were 8-4 winners at second doubles for Haverford. That pairing played its highest ranked match of the season on Saturday and finishes the spring with a 5-1 record together. The No. 3 pairing of Caleb Mayer and Nick Sweeney was an 8-5 winner to seal the sweep of doubles. Those two were playing together for the first time this spring.

Haverford concluded the day with a very strong showing in singles. Ishaan Prinz did not drop a game at No. 2 singles. He finished the regular season with a 10-7 overall record, featuring a 5-2 Centennial Conference mark. Caleb Mayer allowed just one game at No. 6 singles. The senior went 2-0 this spring with a pair of conference victories in singles play.

Both David Kong (No. 3 singles) and Nick Sweeney (No. 5 singles) were 6-1, 6-1 winners. Kong's victory makes him a team-best 16-3 in singles matches this year. He went 6-2 against conference foes and holds a 19-4 career record in singles heading into the postseason. Sweeney finished his regular season with two victories in singles, both of which came against Centennial Conference competition.

Josh Moskovitz capped a standout regular season at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win. The No. 10 player in the Atlantic South Region is 9-5 at the top spot in the lineup this spring and sports a 6-1 record against conference opponents. Rob Kresch was a 6-0, 6-4 winner at No. 4 singles. He maintains a 6-1 record in singles with today marking his first conference match of the spring season.

Already locked into the No. 3 seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament before today's impressive showing, Haverford now knows it will face Swarthmore next Saturday in the conference semifinals. The Garnet fell to Johns Hopkins by a 5-3 score on Saturday. The start time of that playoff match will be announced Monday morning.
