Men's Tennis Slotted 14th In Atlantic South Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team checked in to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Atlantic South Region team rankings, the organization announced in a release this week. The men's team was slotted 14th in the March 27 unveiling of the regional rankings.

In addition to Haverford's solid team rankings, top-flight singles player senior Andreas Wingert checked in at No. 18 in the Men's ITA Atlantic South Regional singles rankings. Wingert has posted a 3-4 record thus far in the dual match season, appearing exclusively at the top flight for the Fords.The doubles pairing of Adam Chow and Stefan Johnson was ranked 14th in the Atlantic South. That duo is currently 3-3 on the season. 

The Haverford men opened the conference slate with a resounding 9-0 win over Muhlenberg on Saturday, March 25, and will play the second conference contest of the season on Wednesday afternoon at Washington College, with first serve in that showdown slated for 4 p.m. in Chestertown.

Haverford then faces off with Gettysburg (April 1) on the road and hosts No. 29 Swarthmore (April 6) to kick off a busy stretch of five matches in 12 days.
