Full College Sports Communicators Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's tennis team placed three student-athletes on the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced earlier this week.

Adam Chow, Justin Minerva, and Andreas Wingert all earned the honor following the 2022-23 season, the first season that College Sports Communicators has assembled a full tennis-specific All-Academic team.

This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above and a starter or significant reserve.

Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First, Second and Third Team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced on June 1.

Chow, of Hong Kong, posted a strong junior campaign a year after earning second-team All-CC in doubles this season. A spring academic honor roll recipient in each season of eligibility, Chow appeared at the fourth, fifth, and sixth singles flights this season, logging a 7-9 overall record, including a 1-0 mark at the fourth flight and a 2-2 mark at the fifth. In doubles, he appeared primarily at the second flight, going 6-5 at that spot.

Minerva, of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., teamed up with Chow to earn those All-CC honors. The team of Chow and Minerva went 6-6, including 4-2 in CC play and 6-5 at the second doubles flight. Minerva also went 9-4 during the dual match season in singles, going 2-0 at the third flight and 1-0 at the fourth.

Wingert, of Hummelstown, Pa. followed up his CC Rookie of the Year campaign with another solid effort as a sophomore, this time appearing primarily at the first two flights after nearly all of his starts coming at the second flight as a rookie. Wingert went 5-5 at the top flight, and 5-2 at the second flight for the Fords.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
